What this is
A free course and test about cycling in Copenhagen, run by Bike Safe CPH, an independent guide for visitors. Read nine short chapters, watch a ninety-three second film, answer 32 questions, and if you get 80% right you get a certificate with your name on it, valid for two years.
What this is not
Die Copenhagen Tourist Cycling Licence ist kein offizielles oder behördliches Dokument. Zum Radfahren in Dänemark ist keine Lizenz erforderlich. Dieses Zertifikat bestätigt lediglich, dass der Inhaber den Kurs und den Test von Bike Safe CPH am angegebenen Datum abgeschlossen hat. Es verleiht keine Rechte und hat keinen rechtlichen Status.
We named it a "tourist" licence for a reason. Denmark has no cycling licence, no test, and no authority that issues one. If anyone ever suggests you need this to ride a bike here, they are mistaken.
Where the rules come from

The course is based on the Danish Road Traffic Act (Færdselsloven) and guidance from the Danish Road Safety Council. The full detail, with sources, current fine amounts and a last-verified date, lives on the main site's rules pages - one copy, kept current, rather than a stale duplicate in every language.
